On Wednesday 26 February 2025, at 12:30, the online event "UniTalks: Different Schools for Different Children?" will take place, featuring speaker Dr Thomas Lenz, who works as a research manager at the Luxembourg Centre for Educational Testing (LUCET) at the University of Luxembourg.
According to the announcement, Luxembourg's multilingual education system, combined with social inequalities and a lack of data on children with special needs, makes it difficult to implement truly inclusive policies. The National Report on Education (Bildungsbericht) highlights the urgent need for better strategies to support diversity and inclusion. Dr Lentz will present key findings and insights on shaping a more equitable education system.
This session is part of the UniTalks, a lunchtime series that gives people the chance to discover and discuss interesting projects going on at the University of Luxembourg.

According to the university, the dialogue will “explore the differences in free speech protections between the two regions, particularly in relation to the regulation or non-regulation of online platforms. Key questions will include whether ‘lies’ should be protected as free speech or whether online harms and risks require restrictions”. There will also be an opportunity for audience discussion.
