The Luxembourg Sustainability Forum (LSF), organised by IMS Luxembourg, is taking place at the Tramsschapp cultural centre in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg on Tuesday 22 October 2024, from 13:00 to 17:30.
Free and open to all, this event will look at "AI for Positive Impact - Hopes & Challenges". The latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI) are a source of fascination and hope, but also of fear, noted the organisers. The impact is manifold: democratic, social, environmental, geopolitical... Under what conditions can this innovation deliver on its promises and meet the major challenges of our time?
Aurélien Jean, Doctor of Science, entrepreneur, author and specialist in algorithmic modelling, will deliver the opening keynote, "AI: Myths to deconstruct, realities to grasp".
Marc Faddoul, AI Researcher and Director of AI Forensics, will deliver a keynote on "Investigation into opaque and influential algorithms".
Next on the agenda is a roundtable bringing together Benjamin Baelus, Director Government Affairs Belgium and Luxembourg at Microsoft, Maxime Derian, digital anthropologist, Marc Faddoul, Director of AI Forensics, and Lou Welgryn, Co-President of Data for Good.
The LSF is preceded by a cocktail-networking session from 12:00 to 13:00.
The event is taking place in person at Tramsschapp but will also be livestreamed on imslux.lu. It will be held in English and French, with simultaneous translation into both languages.
