The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) has announced its upcoming seminar on tax, set to take place on 23 October 2024 at Luxembourg’s Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

This year’s event will focus on the effective implementation of legislation that could impact investment funds. In this context, lawmakers, experts and practitioners will explore the provisions of FASTER and the Luxembourg law on global minimum taxation, along with the practical issues they raise for investment funds.

The conference programme will, firstly, cover the agreement on the text of the EU Directive reached on 14 May 2024 and how FASTER could change the landscape of withholding tax procedures in the EU, as well as what is essential for investment funds in this context. Secondly, the programme will present the Luxembourg law on global minimum taxation, stemming from the OECD Pillar Two Model Rules and the corresponding EU Directive, entered into force on 1 January 2024; experts will highlight the issues facing investment fund structures, including those that have been resolved and those that remain to be resolved.

The early bird rate tickets offer is available until 27 September 2024, at the following website: https://www.alfi.lu/events/alfi-seminar-on-taxes-for-investment-funds-2024/booking.
