Luxembourg's Automotive Day 2023, organised by Luxinnovation's Luxembourg AutoMobility Cluster, is set to take place on Thursday 5 October 2023 at 09:00 in Esch-Belval.

According to Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy, the Automotive Day is “the most significant annual event” in the Greater Region for automotive industry professionals. This year’s edition will have the shift towards sustainable mobility as a central topic.

Held each year at a different location, this year’s event will take place on 5 October at the Maison des arts et des étudiants in Esch-Belval.

This event aims to offer a platform for key players in the industry to share insights on real-world applications of ongoing changes, potentially fostering new business connections that drive sustainable economic growth. The 2023 conference, inaugurated with a keynote speech from Luxembourg’s Minister of the Economy, Franz Fayot, the event will convene top figures and specialists from the sector to delve into current trends, obstacles and prospects.

"The ability to move people and goods is essential to the functioning of our society, but we face challenges related to traffic congestion, rising fuel costs, harmful emissions and more," explained Anthony Auert, manager of the Luxembourg AutoMobility Cluster. "This event will showcase how Luxembourg is innovating mobility by shifting the balance towards, a combination of multiple modes of transportation − including public solutions as well as private vehicles − which offer a seamless, digitally supported travel experience. This generates numerous innovation opportunities and encourages companies to settle and grow here by using the country as a testbed for developing new sustainable mobility solutions," he said.

During the course of the day, attendees can expect to engage with technical talks, technology showcases, test drives and visits to companies. These activities aim to offer glimpses into how both businesses and research institutions in the Greater Region are addressing and will continue to address the evolving landscape of the automobility sector's challenges.
