The Institute for Financial Integrity and Sustainability (IFIS) has announced that it is organising a hybrid conference and lunch with Dilyara Salakhova, Senior Financial Stability Expert at the European Central Bank (ECB), on Thursday 20 October 2022 from 12:30 to 14:00.

Dilyara Salakhova will address the following topic: "Climate change and transition to a low-carbon economy: risks and opportunities". She will discuss the role of the financial sector in financing this transition.

Dilyara is an expert on sustainable finance and financial stability with more than ten years of experience at the ECB and the Banque de France.  Curently on sabbatical, at the ECB, she led the agenda on sustainable finance and worked extensively on green bonds, environmental, social and governance (ESG) investments funds, funding of the transition as well as climate-related risks to financial stability.

Dilyara helped to inform the policy debate on sustainable finance by contributing greatly to the ECB opinion on the European Union (EU) green bond initiative, the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) report on enhancing market transparency in green and transition finance, joint ECB / ESRB (European Systemic Risk Board) reports on climate-related risk and financial stability, ECB financial stability reports. She has also written several academic publications on the topic.

The event will take place in person at Cercle Munster in Luxembourg-Grund but also online via Zoom (link to be provided upon registration).
