A public conference looking at the Maastricht Treaty and its establishment of the European Union and the Economic and Monetary Union, will be moderated by Andreas Fickers, director of C2DH and introduced by Yuriko Backes, head of the European Commission Representation in Luxembourg, on Wednesday 22 March.
The conference -- titled The Maastricht Treaty and the euro: an imperfect architecture? -- will present a historical evocation of the Maastricht process and a reflection on the alchemy of the euro.
The conference will be held from 18:00 to 20:00 in the Cercle Cité Auditorium, 2 Rue Gistert, Luxembourg. Due to the limited number of places, interested parties are asked to register before 20 March.
