Hub Dot Luxembourg is organising its 2nd anniversary themed event: Connecting through Fashion on Thursday 16 June 2016 at the Bo Concept store in Bertrange (74 route de Longwy) from 19:00 to 21:30.
Hub Dot Luxembourg invites women to join their "piazza" where they will explore the world of Fashion.
Two years since the first Hub Dot gathering was held in Luxembourg, the organisers wish to celebrate with women’s passion for fashion, the feeling of belonging and sharing ideas, a real “collective effervescence" in the community of women!
As always, there will be Storytelling from the Hub Dot community and the opportunity to understand how one can develop, learn new skills and find personal connections.
Storytelling is a universal concept that goes beyond any boundaries. Women, around a camp fire in Africa, a piazza in Sicily or a tea house in China, have always engaged with each other through stories. Hub Dot can be in any city and any type of venue - they connect from the heart, walls come down, masks come off – they want to create a space that they all TRUST where they can access wisdom, advice, support and can exchange ideas.
Carlotta Benedetti explained that the Hub Dot concept started in London in 2012 and has quickly spread to 11 cities world-wide (London, Barcelona, Luxembourg, Milan, Riga, Athens, Houston, Washington DC, Portland, Berlin and Edinburgh) connecting 13,000 women. The phenomenon facilitates events for women to connect through sharing of inspirational stories, ideas and creativity.
The concept of the dots is explained by the founder in London, Simona Barbieri, who came up with the idea of removing labels and replacing them with coloured dots, with each coloured dot indicating a state of mind, helping to break the ice and enables communication.
- Red: I'm established (in my career / business / motherhood) - feel free to ask me more
- Yellow: I have an idea, can anyone help?
- Green: I'm here to be inspired
- Blue: I'm here to socialise and shop
- Purple: I want to tell you about... my story / my work / my charity.
At the core of Hub Dot is the mission to revolutionise the way women network and reshape the space for storytelling, creatign a space for authentic connections, using the concept of the Italian piazza - an open-air public piazza where people have engaged freely for centuries - as the catalyst to bring storytelling back to the centre of society.
Spaces are limited for the 16 June event. Tickets cost €20, registration is compulsory at: https://hubdot.com/event/luxembourg/35/connecting-through-our-love-of-fashion-hub-dot-luxembourg
