The first European universities and graduate schools’ championship, the Morpheus Cup, is an Innovation Lab that is being held on Tuesday 10 May 2016 at the European Convention Centre in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
The Morpheus Cup was designed to encourage creativity and to promote new and innovative ideas in young minds. It is being organised within ICT Spring Europe is an opportunity to showcase future industry players, and is the first European competition between universities and colleges of its kind in the sector. It is backed officially by the European Commission and its Vice-President, Head of Unique Digital Market, Andrus Ansip.
Registration is now open: team may enter free-of-charge and winning will bring a prize of €50,000. Twenty awards will be given out in total and there will be several other prizes and goodies to win.
A jury will select the winning projects. Six out of the ten jury members (composed of CEOs, Directors and co-founders) have already been chosen for the event. The winners will then have the opportunity to present their projetcs to a panel of industry experts and potential investors.
Over 200 teams are expected to take part in the 2016 edition in Luxembourg with 20 challenges tailored to the competitors skillset with 18 topics chosen. All in all, the ICT Spring event will comprise two unmissable days with 6,000 entrepreneurs, startups and investors in Luxembourg.
Students attending will also have the opportunity to meet recruiters during the event.
