The Cluster for Logistics has announced that it is organising its 2016 Logistics Day conference on Tuesday 19 April 2016 starting at 17:00 at the Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, with the main topic being Cross-border E-commerce and Logistics.

Logistics services can play a major role for the success of Luxembourg as an E-commerce Hub. How is E-commerce developing in Luxembourg? What are the challenges and the opportunities for the logistics companies and supply chain strategies?

Prime Minister Xavier Bëttel recently said that the digital evolution is an opportunity if we take it but a disaster if we miss it. The Luxembourgers e-commerce sales reached €531 MM in 2014, which means there has been a 15.4% growth in 2014, but only 7% of all companies are offering products online. The country can enhance its position in crossborder E-commerce and the speakers will discuss the actual situation and talk about opportunities for Luxembourg. The event's Keynote Speaker, Dimitry van Toorn, an E-Commerce Specialist, will discuss this trend with inspiring examples.
