The University of Luxembourg’s research project TransCare is looking for volunteers.
The TransCare research project, led by the University of Luxembourg, has put out a call for young adults to take part in interviews.
The aim of the project is to study the transition to adult life as experienced by young people placed in care homes or foster families in Luxembourg. On the one hand, it hopes to identify the ideal conditions for a transition which matches the personal inspirations of young people and, on the other hand, the factors which restrict their independence.
The focus of the study is on the opinions of the young people themselves and on an institutional framework.
For this study, the project is looking for young people living in foster homes to take part in a one-hour interview. The participants should be close to 18 years old or already be over 18 but still living with a foster family. During the interviews, they will be asked about their current living conditions in relation to themes such as their daily life, social network and general well-being.
Moreover, the project is looking for young adults who have already left their foster family, between three and seven years ago, and who have already become completely independent.
The information collected in the interviews will be used exclusively for the research project and treated confidentially. Personal data, such as first names or place names, will be replaced by pseudonyms.
