The International Rose of Tralee Festival 2016 will be taking place from Wednesday 17 August 2016 in Tralee, Co Kerry in Ireland, with Luxembourg Rose, Síle Reidy, representing the Grand Duchy.
The Rose Ball organisers in Luxembourg are hosting Good Luck drinks for Síle at The Tube this Friday 5 August 2016. Everyone is free to join in and wish Síle good luck in Tralee!
The 15th annual Luxembourg Rose Ball took place at Parc Hotel Alvisse on 12 March 2016. The event had 300 attendees this year who witnessed Síle Reidy earning the 2016 Luxembourg Rose title. She will therefore represent Luxembourg at the International Rose of Tralee Festival in Tralee starting on Wednesday 17 August 2016.
A total of 65 “Roses” will participate in the festival this year, and the qualifier evenings will take place on Wednesday 17 August and Thursday 18 August 2016 to reveal whether Síle and other Roses from around the world will be participating in the TV selection evenings on Monday 22 August and Tuesday 23 August 2016; with the 2016 International Rose of Tralee being announced at the end of the second evening.

At the Luxembourg Rose Ball this year, a total of €5,000 was raised by the tombola. The money has been donated to the following charities:
- Autisme Luxembourg asbl
- den Cent Buttek asbl
- Chernobyl Children International – Cardiac mission
- Kerry Hospice Foundation – Palliative Care
