For the sixth consecutive year, the Thierry Van Werveke Foundation will be ensuring that Santa reaches people in need as well by providing a Christmas present to everybody at Stëmm vun der Strooss.

Stëmm vun der Strooss has been supporting the social and professional integration of disadvantaged people in Luxembourg since 1996. This December, the organisation will be expecting to welcome around 350 people in need with a Christmas meal and presents for its Christmas party, one of the association's biggest events.

The Fondation Thierry Van Werveke, named after the late Luxembourgish actor of the same name, will be financially supporting SVDS with €3,500, which will take care of the cost of Christmas presents. The foundation will also be present at the party itself on 17 December 2015 to distribute the gifts.

The foundation itself employs cultural means to help young people who have run into difficulties and/or are socially disadvantaged and works closely with organisations in the social sector to enable them to carry out specific projects which otherwise would not have been feasible.

"We depend on donations for some of our activities and we are extremely grateful to the Fondation Thierry Van Werveke for their continued support of the Christmas party, which everyone knows is a pinnacle event on our calendar," commented Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss.
