The Renmans team of butchers have renewed their partnership with the non-profit organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss (SVDS) which will see the former provide 4,700 meals to beneficiaries of the association in 2016.
On Wednesday 30 October 2015, SVDS President, Marcel Detaille, and Vice-President, Jacques Hansen, met in Foetz with Renmans, a Belgian family business with ten butchers in Luxembourg and represented in the Grand Duchy by Serge Jadin. The family business recommitted to supporting SVDS from December 2015 to November 2015, including 300 kilos of free meat just for this December, through a renewed partnership which has already seen 15,000 meals provided to SVDS between 2011 and 2015.
To achieve this, for every four tray solds, Renmans will provide the meat necessary for one meal to SVDS. In the month of December this would mean the creation of 2,500 free meals comprised of meat of the same quality as is found in Remmans displays.
Additionally, from January to November 2016, Renmans will be providing the necessary meat for 2,200 meals.
"This solidarity action will be relayed through several media, on social networks etc...But above all it will be in our butcher shops where staff will be proud to explain to customers that by buying trays theay are participating in the success of this noble solidarity action!" explained Mr. Jardin.
The charity will be responsible for transporting the meat from the butcher in the best hygiene and freshness conditions.
