The Orchestre National des Jeunes du Luxembourg (ONJ) will play its next concert at the Mierscher Kulturhaus in Mersch on Friday 29 July 2022 at 20:00.

The ONJ and its conductor Pit Brosius will be joined on this occasion by opera singers Marie-Andrée Bouchard-Lesieur and Sava Vemić as soloists. The former performs regularly at the Palais Garnier in Paris and the Opéra National de Bordeaux. The latter is a soloist at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich and is a regular guest at the Paris Opera and Carnegie Hall in New York.

On Friday evening, Marie-Andrée Bouchard-Lesieur will perform Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder, five set poems by Wagner's muse, Mathilde Wesendonck. Sava Vemić will perform some well-known tunes from Don GiovanniThe Magic Flute, The Abduction from the Seraglio and The Marriage of Figaro. The concert will end with an energetic Symphony No. 35 "Haffner" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed by the musicians of the ONJ.
