French-Luxembourgish conductor Thomas Raoult has announced that the recently created Nouvel Orchestre Symphonique is playing its first concerts in Luxembourg City this weekend.

Thomas Raoult is the artistic director and conductor of the Nouvel Orchestre Symphonique, created in September 2020 in collaboration with musicians from the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL). He previously headed Luxembourg's international choir Voices International and is also the founder and conductor of the Atelier Lyrique de Luxembourg and the choir Lux Vocalis.

The Nouvel Orchestre Symphonique will now play its first two concerts with soloist Malvina Zajaczkowska on flute, under the direction of Thomas Raoult: one at Merl Church on Saturday 19 June 2021 at 20:00 and the other at Belair Church on Sunday 20 June 2021 at 16:00. Both concerts will feature works by Mozart, Mercadante and Tchaikovsky.
