Caramba Cinemas has announced that, following the vote on the new COVID-19 law in Luxembourg, its CineKursaal (Rumelange) and CineWaasserhaus (Mondorf-les-Bains) cinemas are adopting the CovidCheck system from Tuesday 16 June 2021.
In the absence of a CovidCheck certificate (proving they have been vaccinated against, tested negative for or recovered from the virus), spectators will be able to carry out a self-test on site. With the certificate or a negative test result, they will be able to move freely in the room, without masks or social distancing. These two measures will continue to apply in reception areas and bathrooms in the cinemas.
The consumption of drinks and snacks, purchased on site, will again be authorised in cinema rooms.
The VIP service at CineKursaal will also operate again.
People without a CovidCheck certificate are advised to purchase their tickets in advance on the website caramba.lu and to show up at the cinema at least 30 minutes before the start of the screening. In the event of a positive test, tickets will be refunded immediately.
