Karolina Markiewicz and Pascal Piron, two filmmakers, will be participating in the Venice Biennale art exhibition from 24 October to 1 November 2015 with excerpts from their 'Mos Stellarium' documentary, produced by Tarantula and supported by Film Fund Luxembourg.
The video installation from Markiewicz and Piron will form part of an event entitled "The Silver Lining", a selection of pieces from emerging artists, assembled by the Liechtenstein art association Kunstverein Schichtwechsel and showcased in the Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi.
The 56th Venice Biennale, which opened 9 May 2015, represents the first edition in which the microstate of Liechtenstein has participated in the major contemporary art exhibition, which is held every two years in the Italian city of Venice.
The video installation will broadcast excerpts from 'Mos Stellarium', a poetic documentary about the journey six young refugees who flee to Luxembourg. In privacy, Dzemil, Milena, Anna, Yunus, Rijad and Eko recount their stories, memories and meetings that led them on their paths and carried them to Europe.
The exhibition will open at 18:00 on 23 October 2015.
