On Monday 29 September 2025, the Association Luxembourgeoise pour le Dialogue Interculturel (ALDIC) invited young people to take part in the production of the official music video as part of “Whatever It Takes”, a youth-led creative and intercultural project running from July to December 2025.
The new song by Luxembourg artist Matt De Cae, written in 110 languages, explores themes of self-confidence, identity and perseverance. Young people aged twelve to 30 from diverse cultural backgrounds are called on to assume full responsibility for the creative process from start to finish.
With the support of the Fondation Sommer and the National Youth Service (Service National de la Jeunesse - SNJ), and in partnership with MUSE Asbl, the initiative aims to promote cultural diversity, intercultural openness and a sense of belonging, while inspiring future opportunities.
According to ALDIC, participants will gain practical skills through directing, filming, performing and editing, while also strengthening confidence, independence and teamwork. The aim is to challenge stereotypes about young people and demonstrate their capacity for ambitious artistic work.
The project is divided into four phases: creative development through workshops, filming at locations across Luxembourg, post-production including editing and subtitling in multiple languages, and the release of teasers and online content as part of the public launch.
ALDIC has invited institutions, companies and organisations committed to youth empowerment, intercultural dialogue and creativity to support the project, either by providing practical resources during filming or by assisting with communication at the launch.
Founded in 2013, ALDIC is a civil society organisation that promotes initiatives in youth, culture, the arts and education both locally and at European level. Its mission is to promote cultural diversity and intercultural learning, to support non-formal education, to empower young people and communities to implement inclusive projects and to encourage active citizenship through volunteering and participation.
