Cactus has announced that its recent Cactus Charity Challenge, organised in collaboration with Henkel, made it possible to offer €15,000 to the Luxembourg Red Cross.

The Cactus group reported that they placed the year 2023 under the sign of solidarity with its Cactus Charity Challenges action, to support values dear to them. In 2022, Cactus and Henkel joined forces for the benefit of the Luxembourg Red Cross, and they repeated the action this year. From 11 to 23 April 2023, Cactus relaunched the Cactus Charity Challenge. This action, carried out jointly with Henkel,

For the second consecutive year, Cactus and Henkel have joined forces to carry out a new action in favour of the Perspectives service of the Luxembourg Red Cross. The action is part of the Red Cross' "Donation Month" campaign.

The Perspectives service welcomes adolescents and young adults aged sixteen to 26 in a situation of psycho-social distress. It offers socio-educational guidance on the basis of a life project. The young adult must affirm their will to want to change their situation and formulate personal and professional objectives. The service is based on three pillars: the provision of accommodation, supervision and life support and professional and/or educational guidance. The Perspectives service has welcomed and supported young people who, today, no longer need the support of the Luxembourg Red Cross because they have found a job or have successfully completed their studies. These young people are now autonomous, independent and have all the tools and support to lead a fulfilled life.

In concrete terms, the Challenge took place as follows: on the purchase of any Persil, Le Chat or Bref brand product (brands under the Henkel umbrella) by Cactus customers, €0.50 was donated to Luxembourg Red Cross. The Challenge made it possible to hand over a check for €15,000 to the organisation. This money will be used to finance educational and recreational activities, household and bed kits, toys for the children of the beneficiaries, to name a few.

Cactus reported that they take pride in their ability to positively impact society and provide support. They extended their gratitude to their partners and customers for their generosity and active support in this solidarity action.
