Kolping Lëtzebuerg Donates €10k;
A week before Christmas, on Sunday 18 December 2022, Kolping Lëtzebuerg donated €10,000 to the Stëmm vun der Strooss charity that supports the homeless and vulnerable members of our society; the money will finance a part of the renovation of the new social restaurant in Ettelbrück.
The Kolping Lëtzebuerg Asbl has supported the Stëmm vun der Strooss for a number of years and is regularly involved in major projects to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged people; this was the 4th such occasion that the organisation has supported the charity.
The official presentation ceremony took place where Alexandra Oxacelay, director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, took the opportunity to explain in detail to Marie-Jeanne Brauch, President of Kolping Lëtzebuerg Asbl, and her members, the important impact their donation will have on the future of the Stëmm. The financial support will make it possible to complete the renovation of the premises at 47 rue Prince Henri in Ettelbruck. This new facility, which will welcome needy people from the north of the country, is scheduled to open in January 2023.
The Stëmm vun der Strooss has already been present in Ettelbruck since March, serving meals in a car park opposite the train station. The move to the new premises will facilitate the work while offering more comfort to those in need.
