Stëmm vun der Strooss, a local non-profit organisation which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of society, has called upon anyone interested to donate non-perishable food items and hygiene items in support of Ukrainian war refugees in Luxembourg.

Together with two other organisations that house Ukrainian refugees or help private individuals to house Ukrainians, Stëmm vun der Strooss has already raised and distributed 1.4 tonnes of food, school supplies and toys amongst 35 Ukrainian families in Luxembourg.

To meet the continued and current needs, the non-profit has called upon all interested individuals and all their partner companies and donors to join them in collective solidarity with the Ukrainian population. Any collection of non-perishable food or hygiene items is welcome to supplement Stëmm vun der Stross' purchases.

According to Stëmm vun der Strooss, the following products are currently needed by the Ukrainian refugees and their host families:

  • Non-perishable food items (tea, coffee, canned food, biscuits, flour, sugar, oil, drinks, etc.);
  • Hygiene articles (shower gel, toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, cotton buds, deodorants, soap, cotton wool, shampoo, etc.).
