The Luxembourg branch of UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, has announced that it is celebrating its 43rd anniversary on Monday 14 February 2022.

For 43 years, UNICEF has been active in Luxembourg and committed to children all over the world. Founded on 14 February 1979 and approved as a non-governmental organisation (NGO) by Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in 1986, UNICEF Luxembourg has evolved from a purely voluntary association to become one of the main NGOs in the Grand Duchy.

2021 was a record year for UNICEF Luxembourg, which, through the support of its donors and partners, collected more than €7.2 million for emergency relief and projects implemented in more than 190 countries and territories worldwide. The NGO could count on support from its 14,000 regular donors, i.e. "Global Parents".
