The pupils of Lycée Guillaume Kroll recently collected clothes, hygiene items and non-perishable food for Stëmm vun der Strooss, a Luxembourg non-profit organisation which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of society.

As part of raising young people's awareness of the problems related to addiction, homelessness and unemployment, Bob Ritz, Communication Officer at Stëmm vun der Strooss, visited class 6PC of Lycée Guillaume Kroll in Esch-sur-Alzette. This class is part of the secondary school's "Cap Futur" project, which, in addition to lessons (like those given in other classes), pays special attention to the development of responsibility and maturity of the pupils.

Bob Ritz presented the activities of Stëmm vun der Strooss and had a reflective exchange with the pupils.

On the initiative of their teacher Patrick Miller, the pupils organised a collection of clothes, hygiene items and non-perishable food to support Stëmm vun der Strooss in the month of December, when warm clothes are greatly needed.

Stëmm vun der Strooss will now distribute the clothes and hygiene items free of charge to disadvantaged people attending its "Kleederstuff" facilities in Luxembourg-Hollerich and in Esch-sur-Alzette. The food will be used in the social restaurant in Luxembourg-Hollerich.
