Renmans butchers has once again committed to providing more than 4,700 meals to the disadvantaged at the social restaurants in Luxembourg-Hollerich and Esch-sur-Alzette run by Luxembourg non-profit association Stëmm vun der Strooss.

Stëmm vun der Strooss and Renmans butchers have renewed their partnership for the tenth consecutive year. Renmans has pledged to supply the non-profit with 564 kg of meat free of charge, thus guaranteeing the preparation of more than 4,700 meals at the social restaurants in Luxembourg-Hollerich and Esch-sur-Alzette.

As explained by Serge Jadin, Sales Manager at Renmans, an offer was launched in December 2020 in all Renmans butchers' shops in Luxembourg: "For every three trays sold, we decided to donate the quantity of meat needed to prepare a dish to the association Stëmm vun der Strooss".

Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, added: "Since the beginning of this partnership, which dates back to 2011, our kitchens have prepared more than 30,000 meals thanks to these donations. I hope that one or another company in Luxembourg will choose to imitate you, because poverty is increasing".
