On Tuesday 16 June 2026, Luxembourg’s Minister of Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, in the presence of numerous partners, officially inaugurated three Digital Learning Hub academies specialising in Data and AI, Cybersecurity and Quantum Computing, in Esch-Belval.

According to Luxembourg’s Ministry of Education, Children and Youth, the Digital Learning Hub is a learning structure of the ministry that works to reduce the digital divide in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. The three academies, operating in key innovative sectors, respond to a strategic need: to train talent capable of supporting Luxembourg’s digital transformation, strengthening its technological sovereignty and enhancing the competitiveness of its economy. They form part of the government’s Accelerating Digital Sovereignty 2030 initiative.

The ministry highlighted that the launch of the academies in April 2026 generated significant interest, and all places are now filled. The 81 participants are distributed as follows: 34 in the Data & AI Academy, 33 in the Cybersecurity Academy and fourteen in the Quantum Computing Academy. The programmes are based on a practical, collaborative and employability-focused approach, combining project-based learning, certifications, expert guidance and real-world use cases.

The three academies are aimed at different audiences: professionals seeking to specialise, jobseekers, people changing careers, technical talent and individuals wishing to move into future-oriented professions. Two formats are offered, with intensive full-time programmes and flexible part-time programmes.

Data & AI Academy

The Data & AI Academy aims to train individuals capable of understanding, analysing and making use of data. The programme covers the Python programming language, statistics, applied mathematics, data visualisation, machine learning and data science.

Cybersecurity Academy

The Cybersecurity Academy trains individuals capable of identifying vulnerabilities in digital systems, protecting infrastructure and responding to security incidents. The programme covers Linux and Windows systems, networks, the fundamentals of cyber security and malware analysis.

Quantum Computing Academy

The Quantum Computing Academy trains individuals capable of exploring and applying quantum computing for innovation and secure data processing. The programme covers qubits, quantum circuits, post-quantum cryptography and use cases related to optimisation and finance.
