The Trade and Investment Board (TIB) met on Thursday 18 September 2025, in the presence of Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Honorary President of the TIB.

The session was chaired by Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel, and Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, and brought together members representing Luxembourg's ministries and economic stakeholders

As reported by the Maison du Grand-Duc, the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, discussions focused on current events, challenges and opportunities related to Luxembourg's economic development. In a constantly evolving geopolitical context, TIB members discussed recent prospecting and promotional activities, as well as initiatives planned for 2026.

This meeting also marked the final participation of the Hereditary Grand Duke in the work of the TIB, after nearly 25 years of constant commitment to the development and promotion of the Luxembourg economy. On this occasion, the two ministers, along with all TIB members, expressed their deep gratitude for his dedication, exemplary commitment, and unwavering support throughout these years.

The session also provided the opportunity to sign a cooperation agreement between the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Foreign Ministry, aimed at establishing a strategic collaboration to strengthen Luxembourg's economic and commercial presence in key foreign markets, particularly Germany, France, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

The TIB, which meets twice a year, is responsible for validating and monitoring the national economic promotion strategy.
