Schengen-based PM-International opened its doors to the public on Friday 9 May 2025, in celebration of Europe Day.

Throughout the afternoon, the Open House at the company's International Headquarters in Schengen welcomed an estimated 400 visitors and guests.

PM-International noted that it was grateful to be part of its local Schengen community and the business landscape in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. "It means a lot to us to open our doors and share what we do with the people around us," said CEO and founder Rolf Sorg. "Schengen is more than just our business location - it's our home. We're thankful for the opportunities Luxembourg has given to us and we're proud to grow together."

PM-International, a distribution and retail company in the areas of health, fitness and beauty, was founded in 1993 in Germany and opened its International HQ in Schengen in 2015. CEO Rolf Sorg (now a Luxembourg citizen) and his family have lived here since 1998. The company's FitLine products are currently available in close to 100 countries; it operates from more than 45 subsidiaries on six continents (which steered from the International HQ in Schengen). Moreover, PM-International's research and development (R&D) team is based in Luxembourg and works in close collaboration with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). The company counts around 1,000 employees worldwide - with around 150 in Schengen - with more than 20 nationalities.

As Léa Herz, Head of Communication, explained to Chronicle.lu, "Luxembourg was an absolute game-changer for us, so we are really fond of being a Luxembourg company". She noted that the goal of the company is "to improve the well-being of people around the world" - something the team wanted to showcase by opening its doors to the public on Friday. The Open House was also an occasion to celebrate Europe Day and people "coming together right here in Schengen". Visitors had the opportunity to try out some of the products, meet the team as well as some of the athletes associated with PM-International, and just have fun, enjoy wine tastings, ice cream, etc.

Chronicle.lu also had the opportunity to speak with Vicki Sorg, Charity Ambassador of PM-International, about the Open House plus the company's humanitarian work. "We're demonstrating to our visitors how with each sale or purchase of Fitline products, we take money aside for our charity with World Vision," she explained, adding that PM-International had sponsored 6,600 children around the world to date through this collaboration. "We are really, really proud to be the largest corporate sponsor of World Vision worldwide, because of the growth and the love for our Fitline products".

Vicki Sorg regularly visits the places where the projects are based; these include projects supporting children in Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Peru, Bolivia and Nicaragua, among other places. "As I go there every year, [...] you see that the children and their entire families and communities, they are being helped with fresh water, with education, with child protection," she noted, adding that "adults are being educated on how to let their children go to school and be educated so that they can have a bright future for their community and contribute back to that".

"It's great for us to be able to contribute all of these years - over 21 years - together in this partnership with World Vision to see that sustainable outcome," she said.

"It's a great, holistic concept and it fits perfect to PM-International because we're about helping people live their best life as far as getting [...] our products into the market with helping people to sustain their health and have good results," Vicki Sorg continued. "And on the other side, being able to help the most vulnerable children in the world and their families. I can tell you, it's amazing."
