Luxembourg unions for the aid, care and socio-educational sector, LCGB and OGBL, said today that proposal put forward for an updated pay scale for the sector are too vague and obscure as to its terms.

The unions say that the proposed transitional arrangements do not seem to cover all aspects of career rehabilitation and other issues concerning overriding provisions, including the 1.5% single premium suspended since April 2017 and the anchoring of the final quarries at the level of the collective agreement, remain unresolved.

The LCGB maintains its demand for the total transposition of the negotiated modalities at the level of the public service to the sector agreed upon, hence also to the aid, care and socio-educational sector.

The LCGB therefore requires the rapid implementation of a new career model respecting the diplomas of each employee. Too much time has already passed and the employees of the sector are only losing as a result of the dilatory policy of employer agreements
