As words like disruption, upheaval, transitions and transformations continue to dominate the vernacular defining today’s business world, this year’s Journée de l’Economie on 2 March will take a look at what we can expect tomorrow’s companies to look like.
Hosted by the Ministry of Economy, the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg, the Federation Des Industriels Luxembourgeois (FEDIL), and PwC Luxembourg, the one-day session will bring together private and public perspectives on what might lie on the roads ahead.
Guest speakers include Patrice Geoffron, Professor of Economics at the University of Paris Dauphine and member of the Cercle des Économistes, who will discuss the challenges and changes related to the transformation of tomorrow’s company, and Arun Sundararajan, Professor and the Robert L. and Dale Atkins Rosen Faculty Fellow at New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business, who will focus on the economic growth around digital platforms.
The morning session will also take a look at the recommendations in and implementation of Jeremy Rifkin’s Third Industrial Revolution report, one of the policy highlights in Luxembourg last year.
The afternoon will be taken up with four parallel sessions on a range of specific subjects concerning tomorrow’s companies, in particular human resources and hyper-connectivity, adapting workplaces to create a “fit” professional environment, digital transformation in manufacturing, and cyber security.
The conference will be held at the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg, and the €70 participation fee will be donated to Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg. Registration and further details can be found on the event website.
