The European Parliament and the International Charlemagne Prize Foundation Aachen recently named the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Luxembourg as one of the national winners of the European Charlemagne Youth Prize 2023.

In Luxembourg, the ninth national selection conference of EYP Luxembourg won over the national jury composed of the Vice-President of the European Parliament and Luxembourg MEP Marc Angel, Luxembourg MEP Isabel Wiseler-Lima and Liam Bremer, President of the Luxembourg National Youth Council (Jugendrot).

EYP Luxembourg is an independent NGO that brings together young people from all over Europe to debate current political issues. The ninth national selection conference took place from 31 August to 4 September 2022 in Luxembourg City.

The national winners will be invited to the Award Ceremony on 12 May 2023 in Aachen, Germany. At this ceremony, three flagship projects will be selected as the 2023 European winners and will have the chance to win support for the continuation of their projects: the first prize amounts to €7,500, the second to €5,000 and the third to €2,500.

The European Parliament and the International Charlemagne Prize Foundation Aachen award the annual Charlemagne Youth Prize to projects with a strong European dimension. Since 2008, 5,000 projects have competed for the prize.
