Luxembourg's occupational safety and health forum (Forum de la sécurité et de la santé au travail) took place at Luxexpo The Box in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Wednesday 26 October 2022.

Nearly 1,500 visitors were expected for this fifteenth edition. Around 100 exhibitors presented new developments in occupational health and safety and more than 20 workshops took place throughout the day. The forum was organised by the initiators of VISION ZERO: the Association d'assurance accident (AAA), the UEL business union and the National Institute for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility (Institut national pour développement durable et la responsabilité sociale des entreprises - INDR).

Claude Haagen, Luxembourg's Minister of Social Security, delivered the welcome speech. The Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy and the Ministry of Health were also represented at the forum.

During the official session, AAA President Claude Seywert, UEL President Michel Reckinger and INDR Director Jean-Paul Olinger presented the new phase of VISION ZERO 2023-2030, a national strategy for the prevention of accidents at work, commuting accidents and occupational diseases. This strategy is supported by the Luxembourg Government. The speakers also made an assessment of VISION ZERO 2016-2022.

Moreover, the four winners of the occupational safety and health prize were awarded during this forum: Ceratizit Luxembourg SARL, Syndicat intercommunal CNI Syrdall Schwemm, Cocottes and Sodexo Luxembourg SA (for their projects in the field of improving health and safety or well-being at work). The general public can vote for the People's Choice Award until 30 November 2022. Videos explaining the winners' projects and how to vote are available at: www.visionzero.lu/prix-sst/.

The next edition of the occupational safety and health forum, which will take the form of a trade show, is set for 2024. A conference edition will take place on 11 May 2023 at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
