Franco-Luxembourgish entrepreneur, Bruno Théret, has received the "Máster de Oro" (Golden Master) award from the Real Fórum de Alta Dirección, a senior management forum in Madrid, Spain, in recognition of his professional commitment and involvement, as well as his work towards the common good.

Born in 1956 in Malo-les-Bains, France, Bruno Théret has lived in Luxembourg since 1990. Senior Advisor of the ArcelorMittal steel group, he is co-manager of the Agora development company. Mr Théret has chaired the Economic and Social Council of the Greater Region since November 2020. His main commitments are in the areas of defence, the economy, education and culture.

The Golden Master, a small bronze figure representing a man trying to free himself from a rock (an allusion to the values of work and effort), rewards personalities who have distinguished themselves in their professional practice in the economic, commercial, political or cultural fields. This was recalled by Carlos Escudero de Burón, President of the Real Fórum de Alta Dirección, when presenting the prize to the recipient.

At his side was Augusto de Castaneda Garcia-Manfredi, Vice President of Madrid's Chamber of Commerce, who was in charge of the laudatory speech and who highlighted the "remarkable professional career [of Bruno Théret] and the intellectual and moral qualities that marked him". Mr Garcia-Manfredi particularly emphasised the links that Bruno Théret has woven between France, Luxembourg and Spain (he notably signed the Aceralia-Arbed partnership) during his career. He also praised the recipient's commitment to civil society, his involvement in many cultural structures and his sponsorship actions.

Her Royal Highness Princess Anne of France attended the award ceremony in her role as godmother to Bruno Théret.
