Luxembourg's Brasserie Nationale, also known as the Bofferding Brewery, has announced that its Lodyss water brand recently received the Monde Selection Grand Gold Quality Award 2021.

Monde Selection, an annual award that certifies the quality of consumer products, has awarded its Grand Gold Quality Award 2021 to the Lodyss Natierlech (still water) and Lodyss Liicht Spruddeleg (lightly sparkling water) beverages for their exceptional qualities.

Since 1961, Monde Selection has evaluated the quality of food consumption products from all over the world. This organisation has established itself as a leading authority in the evaluation of the quality of consumer products. More than 80 international and independent experts carry out a quality assessment of products and packaging.

Dated to the Ice Age and stored away from all human pollution, Lodyss is 0 nitrate certified and low in sodium. Over the millennia, the water has followed an underground odyssey in the heart of Luxembourg, thus giving it a unique mineral composition. Preserved in an aquifer 317 metres deep under an impenetrable layer, Lodyss has managed to preserve its purity - a characteristic which impressed the expert jury.

In January 2021, Lodyss was awarded the "Goldener Preis" (gold medal) by the Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG), with the maximum score of 5/5 - a first for Luxembourg. Four months later, the brand has received the Monde Selection's Grand Gold Quality Award.

Mathias Lentz, Director of Brasserie Nationale S.A., commented: “These two awards confirm the quality of our Lodyss waters. We are very proud of it".
