As part of the "Gourm'est" exhibition held in Metz from 12 to 14 November in Metz, the second edition of the "Concours européens des vins de la Moselle" (European Moselle Wine Competition) took place.

In this competition, wines from the three countries - France, Germany and Luxembourg, building the border region Moselle - were tasted by an international jury during a blind tasting.
The participation turned out to be a complete success from the point of view of the Luxembourg’s winemakers and wines. Among the 21 awards that were conferred during the competition, 13 awards and thus more than half of the medals went to wines of the Luxembourg Moselle region. The three "Médaille Grand Or" awarded during the competition were exclusively made by Luxembourgish winemakers, among them the co-operative Domaines Vinsmoselle, as well as the two wineries Laurent & Rita Kox and Caves Krier-Frères.

A great opportunity for wine lovers will take place on 14 December starting at 17:00 at the "Wäibar" in Remich, where you have the occasion to taste all the Luxembourgish, French and German wines that have been honoured during the contest.
