Luxembourg training programme Fit4Coding has received the award for "Best Practice" at the European Digital Skills Awards on 7 December 2017.

Fit4Coding, set up by ADEM and NumericALL, is in its sixth session and aims to train its candidates for the job of web developers. The beneficiaries of the Fit4Coding programme follow intensive training that includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL modules.

Currently, 80% of job seekers who have participated in the programme find a job following their three months of training.

Nicolas Schmit, Luxembourg Minister of Employment, Labour and Social and Solidarity Economy, welcomed this achievement: "I welcome this award, which demonstrates our commitment to training. The Fit4coding project is an innovative response to the challenges digital transformation poses in terms of skills."
