On Saturday 28 March 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that more than 40 cases of disputes and public disturbances were reported to the police between 22:00 on Friday 27 March and 08:00 on Saturday 28 March 2026.
According to the police, reports mainly concerned excessively loud music, noisy individuals in public spaces or in private homes as well as cases of domestic violence. In most cases, tempers were calmed or the individuals concerned showed understanding.
However, at approximately 20:20 on Friday, the police received a report of a person in Rollingen who was insulting women and children on a bus. Officers attending the scene encountered a staggering individual on Rue des Prés. The person was visibly heavily intoxicated and reacted loudly and aggressively towards the officers.
Due to his intoxicated state and as he posed a danger to himself and others, he was taken into custody for sobering up following a medical examination. A report was drawn up.
