On Tuesday 2 December 2025, the Grand Ducal Police reported that a man was arrested following a violent robbery which occurred in Luxembourg-Gare on Monday 1 December.
According to the initial report, in the early hours of Monday, three men in Dudelange got into a taxi, during which a dispute broke out between them. Two of the men became physically aggressive towards the third and stole his mobile phone. The victim sustained minor injuries. The taxi driver attempted to intervene and calm the situation; however, the two perpetrators threatened him, and out of fear, he handed over the contents of his cash register. The two offenders then exited the vehicle near Rue Fort Neipperg in Luxembourg-Gare.
During the course of the investigation, one of the suspects was apprehended by officers. On the order of the public prosecutor, he was arrested and appeared before an examining magistrate on the afternoon of Monday 1 December 2025.
