POST Luxembourg recently launched a call for proposals for the issue of future commemorative stamps.

POST Philately issues around 20 stamps each year dedicated to various commemorations. These commemorative stamps are particularly well suited to celebrating the jubilee of a personality, an association, an institution, a historic building, a work of art or a major event.

Planning for the issues for 2026 and the following years is starting now. As such, POST Luxembourg has launched a call for proposals for commemorative stamps for 2026 and beyond.

Municipal administrations and major cultural institutions have been invited to submit their proposals for subjects for possible commemorative stamps by post or online via post.lu/timbre. Any association, cooperative or group as well as companies and individuals can also submit their proposals via the online form.

All proposals received by post or electronically before Tuesday 31 December 2024, and whose subject has been deemed admissible, will be examined by the Philatelic Committee. The issue programme for 2026 will be presented at the Stamp Evening (Soirée du Timbre) in autumn 2025.

After their issue, the postage stamps will be available in the POST Philately e-shop (www.postphilately.lu), at the Philatelic Counter in Cloche d'Or (13 Rue Robert Stumper) and in all Espaces POST and post offices.
