Orange Heat Warning Issued for Southern Luxembourg

Luxembourg's weather portal, MeteoLux, has issued an orange weather warning in relation to high temperatures for Monday 12 August 2024.

This is an addition to the yellow heat warning ("potential danger") that was in place across the Grand Duchy (until 21:00 on Monday); the latter was recently updated announcing maximum temperatures expected to reach between 30°C and 33°C on Monday and Tuesday in the north of the country (from 12:00 to 19:00).

An orange heat warning ("danger") will be in place in the south of Luxembourg on Monday and Tuesday 13 August 2024 from 12:00 to 19:00.

Maximum temperatures are expected to reach between 32°C and 35°C in the south, with temperatures potentially exceeding 35°C in urban areas and the Moselle Valley.
