Luxembourg's weather portal, MeteoLux, has announced a yellow weather warning in relation to heavy rain, high wind and a risk of floods.
A yellow flood warning (representing "potential danger") from the Water Management Authority is in place across Luxembourg from 17:00 on Wednesday 21 February until 00:00 on Friday 23 February 2024.
A yellow warning for heavy rain is also in place across the Grand Duchy, from 00:00 on Thursday until 00:00 on Friday, with additional rainfall between 30 and 40 l/m2 expected in the East and South-East. Elsewhere, additional rainfall of around 20 to 30 l/m2 is expected.
Furthermore, a yellow warning for high winds was issued for the entire Grand Duchy for Thursday, from 14:00 to 22:00. During this time, winds between 65 - 75 km/h are forecast, expected to temporarily get up to 80 - 85 km/h.
