The Grand Ducal Police have reported that the 85-year-old woman who had been missing since Monday 8 January 2024 has been found dead.
According to the police, the missing woman was found lifeless near Bourglinster on Saturday 13 January 2024.
The 85-year-old, who was originally from Scotland, had been missing from her retirement home in Junglinster since Monday evening. Search efforts, involving the police but also dozens of volunteers, had continued into Saturday, when the woman was found dead.
The Luxembourg Public Prosecutor's Office has requested an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
