On Thursday 21 December 2023, the Grand Ducal Police reported that a fatal road traffic accident had occurred in the early hours of the morning on the CR119 on the Altlinster route towards Imbringen.
The traffic accident occurred at around 03:45 when, it is understood, that the driver lost control of their vehicle for reasons that are as yet unknown, and crashed into a tree. The vehicle then came to a stop in an adjacent field.
The motorist succumbed to his serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
The road was temporarily closed to traffic for the duration of the investigation.
