The Grand Ducal police have confirmed that a motorist has died in a traffic accident on the N11 near Lauterborn.
The accident happened shortly before 18:00 on the road between Luxembourg and Exhternach. According to reports, two cars collided head-on, following which one of the two cars was thrown into the path of a third car. One of the drivers of the first two cars was declared dead at the scene of the accident; te other driver suffered minor injuries. The third driver remained uninjured.
The road remained closed until late in the evening due to investigations.
