On Tuesday 20 June 2023, the Luxembourg Army celebrated Luxembourg's national day (23 June) with a military ceremony in Place de Guillaume in Diekirch, in the presence of Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, François Bausch, and the Chief of Defence, General Steve Thull.

The celebrations kicked off with speeches by the Commander of the Armed Forces, Colonel Alain Schoeben, and Minister Bausch. The ceremony included a presentation of the units to Adjutant Major Steve Ries and the Commander of Troops, Lieutenant Colonel Kim Kirsch, respectively.

Members of the Luxembourg Army also received honorary distinctions for their many years of service, with one member receiving the cross for 30 years of service. A performance of the national anthem along with a parade of troops and the motorised detachment closed the military ceremony.

The Luxembourg Military Band performed music ranging from timeless classics to contemporary revivals.
