The Grand Ducal Police have announced that a Police Recruitment Information Day will take place on Saturday 5 July from 14:00 to 17:00, at the Luxembourg Police Academy (École de police) in Findel (Rue de Trèves, Findel-Sandweiler).
The event is described as an opportunity for candidates interested in a career in the police to learn about the criteria, procedures and stages of recruitment and training at the Police Academy, as well as to gain an overview of various possible specialisations within the police force.
The Grand Ducal Police have announced that the event will feature informative presentations where officers from various departments and units will provide information to participants at themed booths about their respective professions, including police officers stationed at police stations, investigators with the Criminal Investigation Department, police officers with the Airport Police Unit, motorcyclists with the traffic police units and dog handlers with the Canine Group Service. Members of the police recruitment team and current police trainee officers will also be available to answer any questions visitors may have.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the police athletics test, a mandatory step in police recruitment. Potential future candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the Police Academy.
The Grand Ducal Police have stated that the number of places is limited and those interested in attending are asked to register by email at events@police.etat.lu, indicating their name and those of any additional attendees.
All visitors and accompanying attendees will need to present identification upon arrival at the event.
Those wishing to participate in the athletics test are asked to bring clean trainers and appropriate sportswear. Changing rooms are available.
