Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and Prince Sébastien of Luxembourg will celebrate their 68th and 31st birthdays, respectively, on Sunday 16 April 2023.

Grand Duke Henri, Prince of Nassau, Prince of Bourbon-Parma, was born on 16 April 1955 at Betzdorf Castle in Luxembourg. He is the eldest son of the late Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte. He became Head of State of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on 7 October 2000, following the abdication of his father.

On 14 February 1981, then Hereditary Grand Duke Henri married María Teresa Mestre Batista at the Notre-Dame Cathedral of Luxembourg. They have four sons and one daughter: Prince Guillaume, the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Prince Félix, Prince Louis, Princess Alexandra and Prince Sébastien.

Prince Sébastien was born on 16 April 1992 (the same day as his father's 37th birthday) at the Maternité Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Luxembourg. He is the youngest child of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.

Like his father and his eldest brother, Prince Guillaume, Prince Sébastien successfully completed his officer training at the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst in the United Kingdom from 2016 to 2017. He was sworn in as an officer of the Luxembourg Army in September 2017. His schedule permitting, Prince Sébastien takes part in the official activities of the Grand Ducal family, such as the Luxembourg National Day celebrations.
