The Grand Ducal Police has confirmed that a man was arrested on Wednesday 20 April 2022 in Dudelange for dealing illegal drugs.

During a vehicle patrol in the centre of Dudelange around noon, a police became aware of two people who were in the process of handling a drug deal. When the suspects were to be subjected to a check, the suspected drug dealer tried to dispose of the goods he was carrying and run away, but he was apprehended.

The officers were able to immobilise him and a body search found 40 heroin pellets and around €400 in cash.

During a search at his home address, more drugs, 262 grams of marijuana, 835 grams of heroin, 56 grams of hashish, three ecstasy pills, a large sum of cash and drug paraphernalia were seized.

The suspected drug dealer was arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office and brought before the coroner on Thursday 21 April 2022 morning. The latter ordered pre-trial detention for the suspect, who was then taken to the penal institution in Schrassig.
