The Grand Ducal Police has confirmed that a resident of Wiltz had been injured by another person with a knife.
The incident took place on Saturday 16 April 2022, shortly after 21:20, in an apartment in Wiltz.
According to initial findings, there had been a dispute between two people, after which one man seriously injured the other with a knife. The injured person was taken to the hospital; it is understood that his injuries are not life-threatening.
The alleged perpetrator was on site when the police arrived. He was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and brought before the examining magistrate on Sunday morning. The police forensic investigation team was tasked with determining the exact circumstances of the crime.
