The Grand Ducal Police has announced that the "Speedmarathon 2022", a national initiative that forms part of the pan-European road safety campaign "Speed", will take place in Luxembourg on Thursday 24 March 2022.
In this context, the Speedmarathon operation will continue for 24 hours (00:00-24:00) and especially during rush hour at numerous speed controls throughout the Grand Duchy.
The "Speed" road safety campaign takes place at European level under the supervision of Roadpol (European Roads Policing Network) and is being undertaken jointly in many countries.
The Speedmarathon campaign in Luxembourg will also serve to raise public awareness of the dangers associated with speeding in order to prevent road accidents.
