On Sunday 27 February 2022, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mobility and Public Works, François Bausch, advised the Directorate of Civil Aviation to prepare the necessary notifications in order to close the airspace above the Grand Duchy from Luxembourg to Russian airlines.

This measure will be proposed to the members of the Government and applied thereafter, therefore during this Sunday 27 February 2022.
